JULY 2013

JULY 2012

Well what a change from 2012’s BBQ. Chalk and Cheese you might say. The photographs of both days tell it all.Yes this year was very warm. The evening started off at almost 30 degrees centigrade, shorts being the order of the day. Last year was freezing cold, wet, windy, with umbrellas and raincoats in fashion.

Our annual BBQ is fast becoming an institution. 13 of our fellowship enjoyed the culinary expertise of Dave and Lynn, ably assisted by John, on Thursday 18th July. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time with stories and laughter in abundant supply.

The collection taken during the evening amounted to over £60 and will be given to the Christian Motorcycle Association for their Bible Fund. Thank you Dave, Lynn and John for hosting this event once more.

The Men’s Fellowship meet once a month for a couple of hours or so, normally on the third Thursday. We have a varied programme throughout the year which include: Topical items for discussion, Social times, Visits, Bible studies, TV/DVD documentaries and we are always open to receive new “fellows to the ship”.We are now on our summer break and meet back together again on September 19th. We are due to visit the MOD Museum at Wethersfield. Details of times etc. to be announced in Church and on the weekly bulletin. In the meantime have a good summer break
